Annual Basket Auction Recap

Wow! What a fantastic weekend! As this event approached, we were hopeful that we would have a large number of baskets and baked goods donated, but we were absolutely blown away by the generosity of our volunteers and community at large. With a total of 45 baskets donated, we doubled last year’s number and found that the bake sale and 50/50 drawing exceeded our expectations as well!

It’s incredible to think that individuals would choose to donate their time, resources, and energy to help Faith In Action succeed. Being a nonprofit has never been easy, but it’s times like these that we recognize just how blessed we are by the community surrounding us.

The contributions made by our community and volunteers have encouraged us to dream bigger and believe in even more for our organization. Our mission can be summed up as “neighbors helping neighbors,” and that was exemplified this past weekend. Every basket, baked good, and friendly face is what makes us who we are, and we can’t say thank you enough!

Want to be part of making a difference? Whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word about Faith In Action STNY, there are so many ways to support our mission. Together, we can continue making a difference in the lives of older adults throughout our community!
