How Can We Help?

Faith in Action STNY supports seniors by acting as a coalition of congregations, civic groups, and individuals who work together through a network of caring volunteers to help older adults maintain their independence. This support is provided at no charge to the recipient and includes practical assistance like transportation, friendly visits, shopping assistance, and help with minor home repairs and housekeeping. The organization's core mission is to selflessly offer their time and compassion to those in need of a little assistance to continue living independently in their homes and community.

Faith in Action STNY provides services to individuals age 60 and over. Please submit the following information, and someone will be in contact with you, or simply call the Faith in Action office at (607)-324-1138 or (607)-936-0941.

Our Services

  • Shopping

    Volunteers can either drive you to the store and assist with your shopping or pick up your grocery list and shop on your behalf if you’re unable to do so.

  • Handyman

    Volunteers can assist with minor home repairs, winterizing, and other light duties. Just ask what we can do.

  • Transportation

    Volunteers provide door-to-door transportation for  medical, dental, shopping, banking, hairdresser, and other various locations or appointments.

  • Yard Work

    Volunteers can assist with raking leaves and yard cleanup. Just ask what we can

    do.

  • Friendly Visit

    A volunteer will come by for a friendly visit, play a game, listen to music, watch a movie, or just for conversation.
